The Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) is Google Cloud's core associate-level certification. It validates that you can deploy applications, monitor operations, and manage enterprise solutions on Google Cloud using both the console and the command line.
Google Cloud has a smaller market share than AWS and Azure, so demand is more concentrated in data, analytics and ML-heavy organisations. The exam is practical and rewards hands-on time in the console and with the gcloud CLI.

Is it worth it?
The honest answer depends on your target employers. If they run on Google Cloud (common in data, analytics and ML-leaning organisations), the Associate Cloud Engineer is a strong, practical entry credential: it is reasonably priced at US$125, rewards real console and gcloud time, and sets up the Professional Cloud Architect track. If you have no platform preference, be clear-eyed that GCP trails AWS and Azure in raw job volume, so an AWS or Azure associate certification will usually open more doors overall. Check the live demand in your region and industry before committing, rather than assuming the three clouds are interchangeable on a CV.
