Space Force ASVAB scores: minimum, line scores and jobs
What the Space Force asks for on the ASVAB: the minimum AFQT to enlist, how its line scores match you to a job, and sample roles with the scores they need. We are clear about what comes from an official source and what is commonly cited.
Minimum to enlist
The minimum AFQT only gets you in the door. The jobs you actually want will ask for higher line scores - see below.
Line scores / composites
Uses the same Air Force MAGE composite system.
| Composite | Name | Formula |
|---|---|---|
| G | General | VE + AR |
| M | Mechanical | (formula not shown - some published composite formulas reference retired subtests) |
| A | Administrative | (formula not shown - some published composite formulas reference retired subtests) |
| E | Electrical | AR + MK + EI + GS |
Where a formula is shown, it uses subtests still on the current ASVAB. Where it is omitted, the widely published formula relies on subtests that have been retired, so we show the composite name only rather than a formula that no longer matches the test.
Sample jobs and the scores they need
Job requirements for the Space Force are set per role and are not listed here. Ask a recruiter for the current line-score requirement for the specific job you want.
